Sourdough, laminated pastries, and curated groceries — crafted by hand on Soniat Street, where every loaf carries the weight of tradition and the lightness of real technique.
Built on sourdough starters, seasonal ingredients, and the kind of patience that can't be rushed.
Breezy's started with a simple conviction: that bread should taste like bread — dense, tangy, with a crust that shatters and a crumb that holds memory. Not the soft, uniform loaves from a factory, but something with character.
We bake in small batches, every morning, on Soniat Street in one of New Orleans' most walkable neighborhoods. Our sourdough ferments for 36 hours. Our croissants are laminated by hand. Our coffee is sourced from roasters who treat beans the way we treat flour — with respect.
Beyond the bakery case, we've curated a selection of groceries that reflect the same standard: local honey, small-batch hot sauce, olive oils from independent producers, and pantry staples that make weeknight dinners feel intentional.
Our sourdough rests for a full 36 hours — cold retard, slow proof — developing complexity no shortcut can replicate. The flavor deepens; the crust perfects itself.
Every croissant and pain au chocolat is folded by hand — butter to dough, three turns, proper rest between each. The layers are non-negotiable.
Beyond the oven, our shelves hold what we'd buy for our own kitchens — local honey, small-batch preserves, olive oils from independent estates, and pantry essentials that actually taste different.
Our menu shifts with New Orleans seasons — fruit tarts in summer, spiced loaves in winter. We work with what's ripe and what the local growers bring us.
Flour, water, salt, butter — and when we add something more, it's because it earns its place. No improvers, no shortcuts, no ingredients you can't pronounce.
We're not a chain. We're the bakery on your corner — the one that knows your name, remembers your order, and shows up every morning regardless.
From the first loaf of the morning to the last bottle on the shelf — everything is chosen, crafted, or sourced with intention.
Country sourdough, boules, baguettes, croissants, pain au chocolat, danish, and seasonal tarts — baked fresh each morning in small batches.
Local honey, small-batch hot sauce, olive oils, artisan cheeses, fresh pasta, and pantry essentials — items we'd keep in our own kitchen.
